A hookah is a water pipe that produces minimal tar and nicotine content. If you are thinking of buying your first hookah, here are some of the things you must consider first.
The most important thing to consider when buying a hookah is the quality. If you have friends who already have one, you can go try their hookahs out first to get a better grip on what you are looking for. It is recommended though, that you get a hookah with a vase – or hookah body – made of ceramic or Pyrex glass. Choose a tobacco bowl that is made of clay, metal, or ceramic. As for hookah stems, they should be made out of solid metal or stainless steel. Other hookah parts like the base and the hose come in a variety of sizes and styles, and you can choose whichever suits you best.
Some stores also sell bespoke hookahs and you can also order a specific part that you want. However, if you want to buy a ready-made hookah, remember to be particular about the materials used for the vase, bowl, and stem.
Another thing to consider when purchasing a hookah is the price. A small, single hosed hookah may be priced at around £25, while a medium sized hookah is priced at around £40 to £70. Prices for large hookahs range from £80 to £100, depending on the design, while bespoke hookahs can range between £150 and £700 depending on the options chosen.
