Cleaning a glass bong is necessary. It can be cleaned using a bottle brush and water. In the cleaning process, the use of a more powerful solution is not necessary; therefore, there’s really no need for you to purchase a high-priced glass bong cleaning solution. If you wish to, you can consider this simple method in cleaning your glass bong, using a few household materials.
Things to prepare before cleaning include white rice, clean towel, and rubbing alcohol. The cleaning procedures follow, but make sure that you are familiar with the different parts of the glass bong, which include the mouthpiece, where smoker’s mouth is located; bong chamber, where smoke is collected; bong base, which holds water; and the stem, which holds the bowl/cone piece.
Cleaning your bong is easy and aids a smooth smoking experience. To clean your glass bong follow these simple instructions:
1. Pour out all water from the bong’s chamber and remove the stem. Add hot water to the chamber, making sure the water is very hot or boiling. Cover all the holes and shake. To remove excess debris, rinse it with cool water.
2. Pour half a cup of white rice into the chamber. Add half a cup of rubbing alcohol. Cover all holes using your fingers and shake for some minutes, until the stains are removed completely.
3. Drain the rubbing alcohol from the glass bong; you may tub drain or sink it.
4. Again pour hot water into the chamber and shake it to remove excess alcohol or rice. Repeat two or three times.
5. Dry the bong completely using a clean towel. Once completely dry, reassemble the parts.
