		<description>for god's sake - yes. of course drugs should be legalised. over half of all crime in this country is drugs related. drug addicts cannot get the help they need because they are already criminals and don't want to get banged up. they also have to buy their drugs from criminals so they are permanently vulnerable to violence. 

and then there are recreational drug users. the police waste their time on these harmless people simply because what they are doing is listed as a criminal offense. that time could be spend tracking down murderers and paedophiles. 

this country needs to wake up and realise that prohibition does not work. the billions of pounds that get wasted every year on trying to   prevent drug use could go towards trying to help people with serious addictions and catching serious criminals.</description>
